The 14th century town of Ballybunion is famously known worldwide for its challenging golf courses, The Old Course and The Casben Course at Ballybunion Golf Club. We are happy to arrange tee times for our guests with advance notice.

The area is also one of great natural beauty and home to a wide range of flora, fauna and a multitude of sea birds. A stroll along the seafront exposes a host of marine life including sea otters, seals, porpoises, and dolphins.

The waters surrounding the picturesque area have won the European Blue Flag Award for several consecutive years and are ideal for the harvesting of sea vegetables such as dillisk, sea grass and carrageen moss, whose healthy benefits can be experienced at the Seaweed baths nearby.

Our cosy bedrooms are in keeping with the traditional Irish theme while enjoying en-suite facilities and the requisite modern conveniences. Some of our rooms boast balconies overlooking the castle and breathtaking sea views.

With 10 rooms in all, McMunns is ideal for a relaxing family break or small groups of golfers. Office facilities are at the disposal of all our guests including a wireless broadband connection and a private residents lounge.

In April and May 2009 if you book a round of golf on the Old Course, you can play the New Course for free. Play both for €180.

Also, if you play both courses on consecutive days or within a 7 day period you get it at the discounted price of €265. Normally it would be €180 and €110.
